kit ..work in progress; plaid stars

Before I go shopping for a 'kit' I pull out the blocks and count them, then try to decide what I want to look for by using EQ7. The last couple of days I've been thinking of some beautiful star blocks I have.
39 of these stars;
I talked to 2 ladies at quilt guild and they told me what they did, so I did some more designing; Now I have 3 plans...but only 39 blocks, I can only choose one setting.
 Does not use all 39 stars...(91 x 113)...that's not going to happen needs to be shorter or give to a very tall person.
A square quilt uses 36 blocks (89 x 89)...
Uses 30...(68 x 79) spent more time on this one trying to make it look scrappier. Trying to analyze the stars I found that 35 of the 39 stars have blue somewhere in it.

So, which one do you like?

Seeing what you've designed in EQ7 convinces me to learn to use mine!! I bought it over a year ago and have barely opened the box. Come to think of it, I am not even sure where I put it. Anyway, I am partial to the square version. But, I wind up with a lot of square quilts and then wonder what to do with them.

They all look great. Depends on what the quilt gets for but my design preference is the one in the middle. And with any left over blocks, you could do a pillow or pillowcase. :-)

Do the middle one with 36 blocks and then a table runner with the last three. I like it best because it highlights the plaid stars. Other busier ones don't show them as well.
