Last Sunday I had a meeting I wanted to stay awake for (with my insomnia I can not always stay awake when I want to). I have found it easier to stay awake if I have some knitting to do, but it needs to be a simple and small project. So I wound a ball of yarn I'd received in the mail and started a rooster hat. Moorehouse Farm shipped my order promptly after I ordered their rooster kit.
Yesterday I went to Joanne's and found yarn for another rooster hat;
and started knitting it. I think the black and white will make a fine Barred Plymouth Rock Rooster. The yarn feels wonderful and the texture created by the garter stitch is luscious.
I have finished the body and 1 leg of the giraffe;
I am going full speed ahead on my 'scarf/shawl' I'm up to 376 stitches and I add about 1 stitch per row and at 386 I start the border...
But looking at Moorehouse farms gave me the 'wants' in I want to knit this and this and this and this.....
I wonder what I will knit for next Christmas...I only have 4 hats to go for this one.
