5 days

We packed in a lot in 5 little days in California. Hikes, movies, playtime, eating, beach. In just a short time it was time to head back; unfortunately Roger hurt his legs while hiking. Shin splints in each shin and inflammation of the IT band....so I got to drive and drive and drive. We stopped in Gallup, New Mexico to sleep on the way to Amarillo.

 I took him to the emergency room so he could get some pain meds. He slept most of the way to Amarillo. Where we were greeted with open arms by Reed and his family. Fed and well cared for while we lazed around New Year's Day. Then I got to drive some more.:)
Thank heaven for books on tape. We listened to an Artemis Fowl story all the way home.
We planned our trip so we would have time to recover and get some things done on the house.... unfortunately Roger's legs are still hurting and the research I've done says it will take 4 weeks to stretch and heel.
The kids are back to school, Roger is back to work and I'm ....well keeping busy. This week it is packing the toys and dvd's then Christmas.
