New straps

I've been carrying this purse since I made it last year. this is what the straps looked like yesterday;
This is what they look like this morning;
I remember when I was covering the nylon straps with my patchwork that I tugged and got it really snug around the straps. Not a good thing but they wouldn't cover the strap otherwise. These straps are much softer although there is 6 layers of fabric to give the straps body.
Used about 1/4 yard. I cut 4"wide strips of green and folded it in half, then folded the edges into the center, then added the row of squares, folding it in to meet the edges.

Now it will last until I get my next bag made.
