900th post! A give away

A zipper pouch, what else? Unfortunately I will not have time to make it until Sept 13th. So leave a comment on this post sometime before Sept 13th and I'll draw a name from the comments and make a pouch in what ever color you'd like; let me know what you're going to put in your pouch too. So leave a comment. PLEASE. (IF you don't know what I'm talking about check out other pouches I have made; here, here, here, and here.)

Design wall:What I'm thinking about:
A border for the bear paws; the 4-patches are actually on the quilt that is being used as my design wall surface (my design wall is currently covered with a very large yellow and green quilt).
The bear paws were an exchange years ago and I put it together about 1998. It needs a border but it shouldn't be very wide so it can hang right were it is.
Progress on Triangle Madness;
This is the last side of the last border and then only the binding to finish; I really wanted to finish Saturday so I could report all this fabric used on yesterdays stash report...oh well, next week IT WILL BE DONE.

Judy has a list of others with a design wall post.

Great Bear paws quilt and funny thing is I'd put that 4 patch border on it. It looks really good hanging there.

How about a sawtooth border with triangles the same size as the ones in the bear paws?

The 4 patch border looks great with the Bear's Paws blocks. . .I think it would be a great choice for a border!

Hmmm. . . what would I put in a pouch? Probably some handwork to travel with. DH & I just got a new travel trailer & I have decided, for space sake, to only allow myself projects that can fit in the storage hassock that we just got.

The bear paw blocks are lovely :) What about a sawtooth border? Btw, your pouches look so well done. I'd use a pouch to keep my hexies from roaming ;)

Oh the bear paws are great! Those pouches are nice - slick. I think I would keep it for a gift card at Christmas - then they would get an extra gift with the card!

I too think that the 4 patch would work on your Bear Paws quilt. If you draw my name, I would love it in Blue, so that I can keep my granddaughter's insurance info and stuff in. She is 8 and her favorite color this year is Blue. Got guardianship of her two weeks ago and it has been an interesting two wks.

It all looks terrific. Love the bear paw blocks and the 4 patch border. Even if they don't end up together. Very nice scrappy look.

I love the bear paws and I like the 4 patches but I was thinking something with triangles- you are the triangle queen! I put my small dab of make-up in my birthday pouch and I would carry my pocket stuff in a new one, ie: capstick, eye drops, keys.
(since I don't like to carry a purse)

Oh! I am extremely jealous of the beautiful designs you can make with your machine! I'm still working on having an actual 'straight' stitch while making the new baby (a boy due at Thanksgiving!) some winter 'outer' clothing! :) I figure people won't look too closely though so I'm not extremely worried! :) Miss you!

well goodness, I thought I left a comment here already! Bear paw is one of my all time favorite blocks.
Congrats on 900 posts--whew.
I think I might use that little pouch to keep my quilting $ safe. Crossing my fingers that I'm lucky!

I'd love to win a zippered pouch. What to put in it -- my lipstick and breath mints that always get lost in the bottom of my purse when I need them. Your bear paws look awesome. Good work. Dar
