What's on my needles?

I started the giraffe, from this book, about 10 days ago...but I hit a snag. I needed to add about 20 stitches and they would not fit on my little six inch needles. It took almost 2 weeks to find those little circular needles, now I can work on it again....but I started a hat  'cause I couldn't knit the giraffe.
Now do I put the hat down and finish the giraffe? or finish the hat and then the giraffe? Inquiring minds want to know.

Tough question. I would knit a bit on the giraffe, which is incredibly cute! and then knit some on the hat and then on the giraffe again.

My great nephew loves giraffes, so I'd do that first. I have a paper pieced pattern for a giraffe but it is still sitting around so don't listen to me!

I would work on one each day and then you would have a chance to get them both done. Of course knowing me once I started on one I wouldn't want to put it down until it is done.

Definitely a dilemma - me I'd do the giraffe since it will probably be a while before its cold enough for the hat, but either way it looks like fun knitting!
