Knitting 201

I'm working on Hat #11. This is putting me squarely in the 'Intermediate Knitter ' camp.
Look my first cables! Just like my Grandmother's.
This hat is teaching me:

• provisional cast on
• cables
• kitchener stitch
• picking up stitches along the side...

We'll see how long this takes...I DO have quilting to do! (Actually today is spent unquilting something but we won't tell anyone that will we?)

edited..This is now the same length, 2 weeks later, because I was unhappy with the edge and have now ripped it out 5 times and am back to it looking like this with no extra edge technique; I tried 4, did not like any of them.
