Tuesday I went to Galveston with 2 friends to see a small quilt show there. It was titled; 'Oh, Judy!' and had quilts made by local women using Judy Neimeyer patterns. Here Lisa is studying the quilting done on Jan Mathew's Fall 'n Star Quilt. She used Judy's Hawaiian Star quilt pattern.
A close-up of some of the quilting, done by Brandy Rice.
This one is Judy's Glacier Star pattern made by Mary H. Calderon quilted by Krista Moser.
Wow! we got to see 36 quilts and enjoyed them all. If you are close go over and see them at the Galveston Historic Foundation. If you want me to go with you give me a call; I'd love to see them again,. Hurry the show comes down April 5th.
An added incentive is Robyn Pandolph's Design Studio is around the corner but it closes March 1st.
We stopped at the Star Drug Store (the oldest drug store in Texas) for lunch. We sat outside it was such a beautiful day and I had my first Rueben sandwich; it was very good.
