I promised the next step of my charity quilt today. Here is a block ready to trim;
It is pressed and starched.
I cut it to 13 x 13.Then lay a warm block on top of a cool block with the seams running perpendicular to each other. In other words if the green one's seams are from side to side the pink one's seams will run up and down.
Then sew 1/4 inch seams all the way around the block.
Then cut in fourths diagonally across the block; both directions. The 4 blocks will look like this;
I'm hoping I get more of the warm colored blocks this week and can show you some of the design options in real fabric next week.
