String quilt
This is a finish! A friend is binding it. This is a quilt our congregation pieced, using my scraps, to be donated to a local charity. I chose to have them do a red, white, and blue quilt because I had this great fabric in my stash that needed to be the back of a quilt. I have just enough left to make a pillowcase to go with the quilt. I printed a diagonal line on a piece of paper so the center white would be put in the right place and the rest is just whatever came out of the scrap bin. The paper dictated that the blocks would be 8" wide. The quilt is 64 X 80. I would hate to tie one of these, since every edge is on the bias, it was a little hard to sew together and it needed a lot of quilting to get it to lay flat. I'll have close-ups of the quilting on my other blog.

I love both of the quilts. I think if I had to pick one I'd take the top one. Want my mailing address? Just kidding!
wow mom that is the prettiest charity quilt I have ever seen.
