'Trip' quilts

I thought I'd list all the 'Trip Around the World Quilts I've made... even picture a few of them.
Jackie's quilt
Stacey's quilt
Charity quilt for Baytown Quilt guild
Hawaiian Quilt #1
Hawaiian Quilt #5

Several of these do not LOOK like 'Trip Around the World' but are constructed the same. I don't have any pictures of the one's that are not linked to other spots on my blog. Sooo I've only made 16 of these. I've taught 2 classes how to make them and one of my students, Gwenda, ONLY makes trip quilts. I asked her last week how many she had made; 'about 20'. I'm teaching a friend how to make one now; for her third quilt.

Another friend, Ame Carlson, commented on this post that she has made about 100 of the trip quilts since my first class teaching her how many years ago. How I would love some pictures of these many quilts. (She moved away soon after the class and so I had no idea that she had made ANY more... so cool to get in touch with her again.)

I HAVE JUST WRITTEN A LONG NOTE TO YOU BUT BECAUSE I DIDN'T HAVE A GOOGLE ACCOUNT, IT ERASED IT! THIS IS ACTUALLY THE FIRST BLOG I'VE EVER BEEN ON.
I WONDERED WHO HAD STARTED ME ON MY TRIP QUILTS. I STILL HAVE THE BOOK YOU TOLD ME TO BUY. I THINK I'M IN THE 100'S FOR MAKING THEM BECAUSE I GIVE THEM FOR BIRTHDAY, GRADUAION, WEDDINGS, ETC. ETC.
I MADE CHRIS FEEL BETTER WHEN I TOLD HIM YOU HAVE TWO YOUNGER BOYS!!! HAPPY THAT WE DIDN'T, THAT IS. WE HAD 2 MARRY IN THE SAME YEAR, 2 YEARS AGO, AND HE WAS READY. WE ARE SELLING OUR MONSTER OF A HOUSE AND BUILDING A CABIN BEFORE WE LEAVE ON OUR MISSION IN OCT. REALLY RETIRING.
THANKS FOR THE QUILTING LESSONS YOU GAVE ME--I HAVE 3 WAITING FOR THEIR OUTSIDES TO BE SEWN, ONE MORE ON THE QUILTING FRAME RIGHT NOW. WHAT WOULD I HAVE DONE WITHOUT ALL THIS TO KEEP ME BUSY? I HAVE M.S., WHICH YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT. JUST HAD KNEES REPLACED AND WILL HAVE HIP REPLACED AFTER MISSION. LATER, AME
