We have tons of babies in my family so I am always thinking baby quilts and with that eye spy fabric it would make a wonderful floor quilt for a baby present. You could do a border of squares of eye spy fabric. Love it whatever you decide to do with it. Cheers! But you can really play with that theme and make more fractions of a blocks for different layouts. Your dresden is beautiful. Now I would make 3 more and have a big quilt but that is just me and I seem to be genetically unable to make small quilts. No matter what you do this is going to be a great quilt!carol funhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01602159377334420359noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7762343635054811415.post-73708331962237580002011-06-27T10:27:36.248-07:002011-06-27T10:27:36.248-07:00I've seen a similarly pieced dresden plate (ma...I've seen a similarly pieced dresden plate (made with a smaller ruler) that was just shown on a table without being appliqued to anything. I've pulled out a bunch of blue scraps to do this and then I'll figure out how to make a simple back so that the points "hang" off the edge. I have 2 octagon side tables and I think this will look nice. I am not sure if you wanted a all hanging but a topper might be nice...Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00862692878882330794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7762343635054811415.post-36741709794012891362011-06-27T08:24:58.258-07:002011-06-27T08:24:58.258-07:00The thumbnails made me look today! If a table topper is in order just frame it and finish it with just one block. I would add the other blocks and make it bigger.Mary C in Wahttp://mary-quiltingrandma.blogspot.com/2011/06/design-wall-monday-june-27-2011.htmlnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7762343635054811415.post-87162735812936795352011-06-27T07:38:29.884-07:002011-06-27T07:38:29.884-07:00Ahhhh the choices!! ;) I think all of them sound...Ahhhh the choices!! ;) I think all of them sound great.Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15569137087415487008noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7762343635054811415.post-70082516234465919912011-06-27T06:03:00.349-07:002011-06-27T06:03:00.349-07:00I have never seen fan blades in all those sections...I have never seen fan blades in all those sections, great idea.Kathiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01734182751464436244noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7762343635054811415.post-37590424956112310582011-06-27T05:51:00.397-07:002011-06-27T05:51:00.397-07:00I like the idea of making one more but keeping it ...I like the idea of making one more but keeping it in 4 parts. But I also thing your idea of making one more and keeping it in four parts (with a fan in each corner) would work very nicely as well.
